The new Retina iMac all-in-one computer, also known as the iMac with 5K Retina display, came at a time when the iMac line needed an infusion of something new, something dramatic — after all, it’s difficult to get really excited about another speed bump. The Retina iMac achieves this with a 5120 x 2880 pixel resolution. A standard 27-inch iMac has a resolution of 2560 x 1440. The iMac also comes with the latest version of Apple’s OS X operating system, known as Yosemite.

Step 1. Connect the Blu-ray drive

Connect the Blu-ray drive to the 27-inch Retina iMac desktop via the USB interface.

Step 2. Inatall and run iMac Blu-ray Player software on your iMac Desktop.

Step 3. Play Blu-ray Disc on the new 27″ iMac Desktop

Insert your Blu-ray Disc into the Blu-ray drive and the iMac Blu-ray Player software will load and the play Blu-ray disc automatically. If not, you can press “Open Disc” button to load and play the Blu-ray disc.

When you play Blu-ray disc, just click on the “Open Disc” button and select the Blu-ray disc in the pop-up dialogue. After a couple seconds of loading, you can enjoy the Blu-ray disc movies on Retina iMac desktop freely. Otherwise, you can press “Open File” button to play Blu-ray ISO files or videos on the new 27″ 5K Retina iMac in other media formats.
